Is safety in your community a top concern? Do you feel voiceless whenever issues arise in your neighborhood? Do you want to bridge the gap between the police and your community? Come and be heard at the annual Neighbors Together event to strategize directly with local law enforcement officers on how to best improve neighborhood safety. Hear from nationally-recognized facilitators on proven approaches to make neighborhoods stronger, safer and more resilient.
In honor of NeighborWorks Week, ANDP and a team of neighborhood leaders from metro Atlanta will offer a half-day of training on the topic of neighborhood safety – identifying and addressing community safety risk factors; establishing a diverse network of partners, building a common agenda, and creating working relationships with law enforcement.
Training topics will include:
- identifying and addressing community safety risk factors;
- establishing a diverse network of partners in neighborhood safety (residents, businesses, government, nonprofits, law enforcement);
- building a common agenda; creating effective working relationships between the community and police through collaborative problem solving partnerships; and
- empowering residents to reduce the threats of violence in their neighborhoods.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Use link below to register. Lunch and a notebook of materials will be provided to each attendee. Have questions? Or don’t have access to the internet? Contact Curtis Tyger at 404-420-1597.
