Mercedes-Benz Stadium announced that it will open its doors to the world with a month-long series of events including Atlanta Falcons football games, Atlanta United soccer matches, high-profile college football games, concerts and a spectacular celebration event.

Atlanta United is scheduled for its first home match in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, July 30, 2017, the first-ever sporting event in the stadium, and will then play two more home matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the middle of August as part of the inaugural month of opening events.

Thanks again, to those who came out and volunteered last weekend! Castleberry Hill received 60+ new in various species, along Northside Dr. and surrounding streets by 35 community volunteers. The trees were showered with plenty of rain thereafter!

Join Meikos New Year’s Day for the “Official Old School Hip Hop Festival Day Party” as we celebrate a new year with a traditional New Year’s Day Tapas Menu and watch the Falcons play the Saints. Hosted by Pastor Troy with special invited guests and resident DJ (to be announced) spinning 80’s and 90’s hip hop classics all day.

Food, prepared by Chef B of Exquisite Cuisines, include served plates and is included with your ticket. Menu is salmon and green beans, shrimp ‘n’ grits, chicken and waffle sammich, black eyed peas and greens and a strawberry parfait shooter. Enjoy mimosas and a special “Jolly Rancher Punch”. In addition to 2 fully stocked bars and the best bartenders in the city, Meikos has 8 TVs, a heated courtyard with the game on a big screen and is located in tailgating central right across from the Mercedes Benz Dome. Get your tickets early for free parking (limited).

New Year’s Eve celebrations are expected to draw crowds estimated close to 180,000. Crowds will fill Downtown beginning at 10 a.m. until past the midnight Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta.

Events scheduled on NYE include the Chick-fil-A Bowl parade on Peachtree Street at 12:30 p.m. and the bowl game that evening between Auburn and Virginia at the Georgia Dome.

The festivities also include the annual Peach Drop, with events starting at Underground Atlanta at 10 a.m. Traffic will be restricted around the area beginning at 4 p.m.

A pedestrian corridor will be set up around Underground Atlanta and bag checks will be conducted beginning at 5 p.m. for security purposes.

It’s strongly encouraged to not drive and take alternative transportation.  Stay safe and Happy New Year!
