All Star Run – Saturday, November 4th
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will be hosting the All Star Run (formerly Strong Legs Run) on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at Georgia State Stadium – Green Parking Lot. This has been an annual event at Turner Field, now Georgia State Stadium for more than 10 years, and an annual event in Atlanta for more than 30 years. It is just being rebranded to change with the times.
The event is a fund raiser for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and they anticipate a crowd of 2,500 to 3,000 runners and walkers.
The event will begin and end at Georgia State Stadium’s Green Parking Lot, with the 5K starting at 9:00am, and the 2K / 1 mile at 10:15am. Each race is a loop through the surrounding area and downtown Atlanta. The description of each route is attached. The last finishers will complete the 2K route no later than 11:00am. During the run/walk, roads along the race routes will remain open to traffic. Off-duty Atlanta Police officers will direct traffic at all intersections along the route. They will hold traffic or detour traffic as necessary to insure the safety of the participants.
