It is a self-guided tour and is completely FREE of charge! Visit fascinating and diverse galleries and get a taste of what Atlanta has to offer.  Neighborhood businesses and restaurants will be open and welcoming you to our little corner of Atlanta!

What better way to start off the New Year than with art! Join Zucot for the monthly Castleberry Hill Art Stroll for a final look at their current exhibit before transitioning to the next opening.

The ‘Art Tasting’ experience gives clients an informal, hands-on, and interactive way to appreciate art in a comfortable environment and also provides an open forum for discussion on topics related to:

– The creation of an art piece
– Materials used to create a piece
– Art as an investment (Why collecting is important)
– Value added information and resources

To accommodate for seating, please RSVP. This event is free and open to the public. They ask that all attendees are present by 1:15pm, the tasting will begin promptly at 1:30pm.

Underground Redevelopment- Public Presentation, Jan 14th

WRS Real Estate Investments UndergroundAtlanta_021015_BrennaBeech - 027will hold a public information presentation on the redevelopment of Underground on Saturday, January 14th, at 10:30am at Underground in the main upstairs entry building (the double doors on Alabama between Pryor and Central). The meeting will be to show interested parties the development vision.  Afterwards you’re invited to visit the food tenants at Underground for lunch.

 

CHNA General Body Meeting Jan 16th, 7pm

If you haven’t paid your membership dues this year, we sure would appreciate your support! Just go to the Join CHNA link under the Association tab on the website.

Membership is open to all residents (18 years or older) living within the neighborhood boundaries. Visit the Membership page today to support your neighborhood.  Individual membership is $25.00 and you can pay via check or PayPal. Businesses currently pay $100 and  secures you a spot on the Art Stroll Maps.

Hot Chocolate Race, Jan 22nd

hotchocolateraceHot Chocolate 15k/5k is headed back to Atlanta on January 22, 2017! Coined as America’s Sweetest Race, participants enjoy chocolate treats along the way and at the post race party.  Ronald McDonald House Charities is the official charity partner of the Hot Chocolate series.

Start and finish will be in Centennial Park and the expected attendance is ~20,000. The first wave of runners (15K and 5K) will start at 7:40am.  The second wave (5K only) will start at 8:25am.  View the course map here and road closure information here.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s 2017 Debut

mercedesbenzstadiumMercedes-Benz Stadium announced that it will open its doors to the world with a month-long series of events including Atlanta Falcons football games, Atlanta United soccer matches, high-profile college football games, concerts and a spectacular celebration event.

Atlanta United is scheduled for its first home match in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, July 30, 2017, the first-ever sporting event in the stadium, and will then play two more home matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the middle of August as part of the inaugural month of opening events.

This month they are having a panel of speakers from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and the Atlanta Police Department to present on Gang issues in Fulton County.
