Public Safety Meeting-Tuesday, April 13th @ 6:30, ADios Coffee Shop
Public Safety Notice
Please call 911 and report ALL suspicious behavior.
The following email was sent by Lt. Padgett from APD Zone 5:
Sgt. Hannula is the supervisor over the Burglary Unit. He advised the following information. Please pass this information and description along to your neighbors.
There have been three burglaries in the Castleberry neighborhood in the last couple of days:
03/11/10 at 0037 hrs**** Walker St. case# 100700070 an Apple lap top computer was taken by a B/M wearing dark clothing.
03/12/10 at 0543hrs **** Peters St. was hit. A window was broken out and several computers, monitors, and a T.V were stolen. When entry was made through the window the perp(s) cut himself and bled inside the business (blood samples taken for possible CODIS match) Case# 100710439.
(Sometime between 03/04/10 and 3/09/10 ****Nelson St. was hit. The perp(s) entered the unit from the second floor balcony. An object was used to smash the glass sliding door. The perp(s) stole a flat screen television and exited the unit through the front door.) *This incident was added by CHNA Public Safety.
(03/12/10 between 9:30 and 10:15 **** Peters Street. The burglar entered the residence through a first floor window. The residents had just returned home and heard their back door alarm signal that someone had exited their home. 911 was called and APD and the Art Stroll off-duty officer responded immediately. Nothing was taken from the home, but evidence confirmed that someone had been in the residence.) *This incident was added by CHNA Public Safety.
I conducted drop-ins at local businesses to ensure they were using their alarms and to make sure they secured their businesses as best as possible. I spoke with Lt. Tiernan who was familiar with the incidents and he has informed his Sergeants to brief their Castleberry Officers.
Evening and Morning watch if you could inform 508 of these incidents and ensure quick response times to 2a’s we may get lucky and stop further incidents in such a small area.
