General Business Meeting

MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 6:32pm by President Laurel Emery.

Video recap of 2009, prepared by Krista Ruggles was shown (can currently be found on CHNA home page). There were a lot of great things that happened and we can’t do it with the great volunteers and members that make up the CHNA.

Officers Reports
President – Laurel Emery reported on the previous year, thanked people and asked that others consider stepping up for 2010 positions. She stated that there would be no December, 2009 meeting, but to have a happy and safe holiday.

Committee Reports

Neighborhood Relations – Kelly Ruggles gave a quick recap and thank you for the Chili Cookoff this past weekend. The winners are as follows, there was no available list of the raffle winners.

Firemen’s Choice 1st – Krista Ruggles
Firemen’s Choice 2nd – Wes Prince

People’s Choice 1st – Jenna Marie Coggins Lamey
People’s Choice 2nd – Bryan Hieserman & Mark Millen

UnChili 1st – Laurel Emery
UnChili 2nd – Craig Kimbrough

Public Safety & Code Enforcement – Krista Ruggles reported on the Public Safety meeting, more information is available on the Public Safety page of the website. Please consider participating in the meetings and running for the Public Safety chair for 2010.

New Business
Elections – 2010 CHNA Exec Board elections were opened for nominations. Carrie Burns made a statement about the Treasurer position.The neighborhood is bringing in a bookkeeper so the Treasurer position is changing slightly to more of a communicator between to bookkeeper and the Board.

Laurel Emery stated that she is running for President again, asked for nominations from the floor since there had been none made prior to today. There were no further nominations. Krista Ruggles was nominated from the floor for Vice President, no further nominations were made. Scott Chapman was nominated from the floor for Treasurer, there were no further nominations. Noon was nominated for Secretary at this time. A motion was made to accept the 2010 CHNA Exec Board slate as follows:

President – Laurel Emery
Vice President – Krista Ruggles
Treasurer – Scott Chapman

Motion seconded and approved. Congratulations to the new 2010 CHNA Exec Board.
