• Initiative to start a Merchants Asso in CH; email Napoleon Williams for more info – bizdev@castleberryhill.org
b. Neighborhood Relations
• Nov 14th – Chili Cookoff (will promote @ Loft Tour)
c. Code Enforcement – email publicsafety@castleberryhill.org w/ code enforcement issues in the meantime
d. Clean-Up
• Trees Atlanta pruning project; dumpster placed down at Nelson past Deer
• POST MEETING – There will be a clean up on Saturday, Sept 19th from 9am-12pm prior to the Loft Tour, please meet in front of Mueller and help spread the word
e. Public Safety
• We are beat 508
• 3 incidents last week (stolen storage trailer, 2 car break-ins)
• Meeting a couple of weeks ago, 25 ppl attended; Lt. Spillane was there and has been sending crime reports, which are being sent to buildings and you can sign-up on the website in the upper-right hand corner to be on this list
• Need a contact from each bldg, email publicsafety@castleberryhill.org
• Take a razor blade and slice an X in the date decal so if they try and steal it, it will shred
• APD cracking down on parking in CH and all of Atlanta and it will be important for residents and businesses to stay on top of this (private company has been hired to handle this, they are towing and booting)

f. PR/Communications
• Most PR focus goes to Loft Tour right now, namely because the Chairs are the same, items specifically PR-related are as follows:
1. New t-shirts being printed in time for Loft Tour, same logo, but shirt will be white, cost is $15 for members, $20 for non-members
2. Only business members showing on Art Stroll page, if you’re not there you’re not listed as a business member to date
3. Working on business member directory on website, if not business member the business will remain, but link to their website will not
4. Neighborhood banners being printed for Loft Tour

• LOFTS NEEDED!!!! We need your neighbors lofts submitted this week for the Tour!
• We need volunteers!!!! Sign-up by highlighting your name on the sign-in sheet and take flyer for building!

4. New Business
a. Icon Lounge (257 Trinity Ave) – applied for an alcohol license to operate a night club. The site is a two story building consisting of 6,000 square feet. Icon Lounge will operate Thursday – Saturday from 5:00 pm – 3:00 am. The owners may also hold events Monday – Wednesday but at the time of the application, no events are planned on these days. The owner has secured 100 parking spaces at a parking lot located at 260 Trinity Avenue to park its patrons and has agreed pursuant to a request from the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association to staff the parking lot with an off-duty Atlanta Police officer during its operating hours. • Oct 2nd, dusk to midnight
• 55 participating events
• Outdoor to the Loft Tour’s Indoor
• Looking for it to become a city-wide event

• Marketing firm promoting Le Flash
• Participating and offering your space for an artist gets you on the map
• Kristofer Lamay is doing a 2-story bonfire in the Dog Parkare across from 211 Peters
• Video projections on Peter St Bridge and U-Haul
• Volunteers needed for that night as well as staging area, email leflash.2009.atlanta@gmail.com to volunteer or offer space

• Dwanda Farmer – Post 1 At-Large seat on City Council
• From Mechanicsville neighborhood and have supported neighborhood and NPU

• Believes in education, it’s the key to success, working on PhD and has 2 Masters
• Look at record of service
• Amir Farokhi – Post 2 At-Large seat on City Council (vacated by Mary Norwood)
• Retaining officers…
• Transportation is biggest issue
• Kwanza Hall – Jay Tribby representing Kwanza Hall’s office
